NEGOTIATED PURCHASES SUMMARIES BELOW

DTN COMMENT:  Formula totals for last week were lower in all three major 
feeding states: KS 76,304(-8,143), NE 86,718(-2,158), TX 80,371(-6,447). 
Total trade volume were also lower in all three major feeding states:  KS 
85,157(-8,219), NE 81,251(-2,852), TX 88,303(-3,534). New showlists appear 
to be mixed, larger in Texas, but lower in Kansas and Nebraska/Colorado. 
Bids and asking prices have yet to be established. Significant trade 
volume will likely be delayed until Wednesday or later.

Beef cutouts are significantly higher at midday (Choice 302.93 +2.15, 
Select 278.91 +2.87), with generally light box movement (20.92 lds of 
choice cuts, 14.27 lds of select cuts, 0.00 lds of trim, and 7.08 lds of 
ground). Cattle futures at midday are moderately higher on live contracts, 
and sharply higher on feeder issues.
